What is the significance of determining the pour point of petroleum products?
(1) For waxy oil products, the pour point of petroleum products can be used as an indicator to estimate the wax content of paraffin to a certain extent.
(2) The pour point of petroleum products is used to indicate the grade of insulating oil.
(3) According to the specific situation in our country, in terms of electrical equipment, No. 10 transformer oil is generally used in the south of the Yangtze River, and No. 25 transformer oil is mainly used in the valleys from the north of the Yangtze River to Shanhaiguan; No. 45 transformer oil can be used; circuit breakers generally use No. 45 transformer oil. If the transformer oil loses its fluidity due to low ambient temperature, the transformer oil cannot be put into operation immediately, otherwise the excessive heat accumulation in the transformer will threaten the safe operation of the equipment.
During operation, the temperature of the turbine oil is always above 40 degrees Celsius, which is generally safe. But if it is shut down in winter (cold region), the turbine oil may lose its fluidity, and the main shaft will be easily distorted when the turbine starts, so the national standard stipulates that it should be below -7 degrees Celsius.
Freezing point refers to the temperature at which all liquid fluids stop flowing under specified cooling conditions. HZNQ-1101 Petroleum product freezing point tester is used to measure the freezing point value of transformer oil, lubricating oil, light oil and various chemical raw materials. The instrument uses imported compressors for cooling, with fast cooling speed and large cooling depth. Imported sensors are selected, and the test accuracy is high. Widely used in electric power, chemical industry, railway, petroleum and other fields.
