I. Overview
1.1 Introduction
The pulse coil inter-turn tester (digital inter-turn tester) can conduct electrical tests on components with coil windings efficiently and non-destructively. The principle is to apply the same pulse voltage to the standard coil winding and the tested winding, and compare the transient waveforms of the two to test the quality of the tested coil. The transient waveform is the attenuated oscillation waveform that occurs in the coil. It can simultaneously judge the inductance, quality factor, number of turns of the winding and the short circuit between turns of the winding. In the case of an iron core, it can also judge its material. difference etc. In the case of applying high-voltage pulses, the occurrence of corona discharge can also be used to judge poor insulation. In a word, each element of marking the quality of the coil can be checked in a very short time.
