I. Overview

The kinematic viscosity tester is designed and manufactured according to ASTM D7279 standard, and the test results are highly consistent with ASTM D445 and GB/T265 standard methods. The whole machine adopts modular design, the detection part adopts advanced sensors and high-precision AD conversion circuit, and the main control part adopts a number of industrialized and high-reliability 32-bit RISC structures, ultra-low power microprocessors, good and reliable communication which make each module form a unified and reliable measurement and control platform.

The operation program of the instrument adopts high-quality and simplest modular program design, which is organically combined with hardware, so that all the work such as temperature rise, constant temperature, liquid level detection, timing, calculation, printing, etc.

1.1  Appearance of the Instrument

The appearance of the instrument is as shown in Figure 1.1 below.

1.2  Features of the Instrument

1、 Imported LCD screen display, human body induction key.

2、 There are many types of measurement samples. Transparent and opaque samples can be measured. Including gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, cutting fluid, lubricating oil, new oil and in-use oil of lubricating oil, etc.

3、 Low oil sample consumption, fast detection speed, low solvent consumption and high precision.

4、 The instrument is equipped with an oil drain port for easy oil draining.

5、 Dual CPU microcomputer control.

6、 Simultaneous asynchronous measurement of kinematic viscosity of four samples, automatically print the results

7、 Temperature control by temperature controller, digital display, automatic constant temperature.

8、 Adopting the motor stirring, the temperature gradient in the bathtub is reduced, so that the oil temperature is uniform, which is beneficial to improve the accuracy of experimental results.

9、 The upper part of the bathtub is equipped with a new type of energy-saving lighting lamp, which enables the operator to clearly observe the experimental process and facilitate data observation.

III. Working Principle

Under the conditions specified by ASTM D7279, D445 and D446, the sample to be tested is injected into the folded tube viscometer through the sampler. It is automatic timing through interval between the upper and lower detection lines of the sample passing through the viscosity tube, the viscosity value is obtained and stored after using the time multiply by the viscosity tube coefficient.
