2. Functional principles
The cassette moisture sampler is also called a cassette furnace. Its working principle is to heat the sample in a sealed sample bottle to above the boiling point of water, and then use dry carrier gas (dry air or high-purity nitrogen) to heat the sample bottle. The water vapor evaporated from the moisture meter is loaded into the Karl Fischer reagent of the moisture meter, and its moisture is measured using a trace moisture analyzer.
A trace moisture analyzer based on the principle of Karl Fischer titration. It is suitable for some samples that are difficult to dissolve in Karl Fischer reagent or have redox reactions with Karl Fischer reagent, such as plastic particles, rubber, graphite, lubricating grease, and solid pharmaceuticals. etc., its moisture cannot be measured directly, and a "cassette furnace" is needed to process such samples and complete the moisture measurement.
