II.Key features
Automatic contact angle analysis
Use machine vision technology to automatically identify the baseline and droplet contours, and use the Laplace equation as the theoretical basis to perform quadratic curve fitting calculations to obtain the contact angle value.The influence of gravity on the shape of the droplet is reduced, and human test errors are eliminated. For pictures with obvious baseline characteristics, automatic testing can be realized, and for pictures with unobvious baseline characteristics, you need to manually specify the baseline position.
III.Test Methods
1. Intravenous drip method.
Drop a drop of liquid on the solid surface, take a picture of the equilibrium system after the solid-liquid-gas three-phase interface is balanced, and measure the contact angle by the contact angle measurement method provided by the software. It is also possible to take photos or videos of the balance process at regular intervals during the test, and then analyze the change process of the system.
2. Increase or decrease the droplet method.
Due to the inhomogeneity of the solid surface, it is sometimes necessary to measure the dynamic contact angle to analyze the hysteresis of the contact angle. The instrument can measure the advancing angle by continuously increasing the droplet volume or measuring the receding angle by continuously reducing the droplet volume.
3. Inclined plate method
With a unique function, the stage can be electrically rotated to form an inclination angle. The droplet tilts to one side under the action of gravity until it rolls. This process can determine the advance and retreat angle of the droplet.
